Yeah Yeah Yeahs Karen O has picked up a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Original Score category alongside co-writer Carter Burwell for their score for Spike Jonze's film adaptation of children's story Where The Wild Things Are. They're up against well known film composer James Horner for his Avatar score.

Horner has also been nominated in the category of Best Original Song for the Avatar theme 'I See You', sung by Leona Lewis. He's up against U2 and Paul McCartney for that award.

Karen O has also bagged a Grammy nomination for the song 'All Is Love' from the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack, after Miley Cyrus forfeit her nomination in the category of 'Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media', admitting that her song 'The Climb' had not been written especially for 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' and so is not eligible for the prize.
