Kanye West has maintained an unusually low profile over the last few months, following his latest controversial outburst.

The rapper's comments about Jewish people in October 2022 led to him being dropped by a number of high profile brands - most notably Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga - and his remarks were condemned by organisations including the Anti-Defamation League. He was also banned from Twitter/X, although his account was recently reinstated by Elon Musk.

Up until now, West's last live performance was in February 2022 - but last night, he joined his fellow rapper Travis Scott on stage as the latter headlined a show at Rome's Circus Maximus outdoor arena.

"There is no ‘Utopia’ without Kanye West," Scott said, referencing his new album's title. "There is no Travis Scott without Kanye West. There is no Rome without Kanye West. Make some noise for Ye."

West joined him for two songs - 'Praise God' and 'Can't Tell Me Nothing'.

It was announced in January 2023 that West had 'informally' married Australian architect Bianca Censori, although their union is not believed to be legally binding.

His last album was 2021's 'Donda'.
