ELO are without doubt one of the most celebrated pop bands of all time, and frontman Jeff Lynne is a songwriter who is regularly lauded by his peers.

However, it's been 14 years since Lynne last released an album as ELO - until now.

'Alone in the Universe', the follow-up to 2001's 'Zoom', will be released on November 13th.

It's preceded by the single 'When I Was a Boy', which you can hear below.

The band is now known as 'Jeff Lynne's ELO' as the line-up has changed since their last incarnation - but having played live for the first time in 28 years last September, with a hugely successful comeback at London's Hyde Park (as well as at the Grammys with Ed Sheeran) it sounds like Lynne may well be planning further outings.
