Life is pretty sweet for Jay-Z and Beyonce. Successful musicians, proud parents, friends to the Obamas, and now the pair have been named as the wealthiest celebrity couple in the US this year.

The pair top Forbes' highest paid celebrity couple list, a title which they wrested from the vice-like grip of last year's winners, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen

According to Forbes, Beyonce took in $40 million off of endorsements and the success of her album 4. Meanwhile Jay-Z’s Kanye collaboration, Watch the Throne and its subsequent tour brought in $38 million.

Their combined gross of $78 million was $6 million more than Brady's and Bundchen's $72 million haul. We’re pretty sure the latter pairing will get over it though.
