Jape has just won their second Meteor Choice Music Prize award for his album Ocean of Frequency, at tonights awards at the Olympia, Dublin. Richie Egan and co. previously won the award for their 2008 album Ritual, where again Egan beat Lisa Hannigan to the honour. The award will go down as something of a surprise, considering bookmakers were quoting prices of 12/1 for a Jape victory but no one within the Irish music scene will begrudge Jape the victory.
Jape performed two songs from Ocean of Frequency at the Olympia, 'Scorpio' and 'The Oldest Mind'.
