Spice Girls fans around the world were bursting with excitement when all five members of the girl group were pictured together last month and rumours of a reunion began to surface.

The news that their manager Simon Fuller was also on board lent credibility to those rumours, considering we've been plagued with stories about a possible three-piece version of the pop band in recent years that never surfaced.

However, it looks like fans need to adjust their expectations as the reunion may already be in jeopardy, according to Mel C.

With reports suggesting that Victoria Beckham point-blank refuses to tour, she told The Sun: "Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time. I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky."

Mel C emphasised that there were "no plans" for them to go out on the road as a four-piece, and added: "It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time. It was just getting together to reignite all the things that we have had together and to work with Simon.”

When asked whether the band might reunite to play at the London Pride celebration this year, she said: "That would be a very fitting place for the Spice Girls to reform but unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be seeing the Spice Girls on stage this year.”

Last week, Mel B more or less let slip that the Spice Girls would be performing at the Royal Wedding in May... which of course, the public won't have access to.

Whether their reunion lasts that long or not is another thing.
