Gorillaz have been fairly quiet over the last few years, although both Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have given strong indications that new music is on the way soon.
Hewlett even went as far as to recently confirm that the cartoon band's new album would not be released this year and has been pushed back to 2017.
However, the band - or their PR people - have been a hub of activity on social media over the last day or so, posting various throwbacks to their albums, awards, songs and magazine covers.
The timeline/overview of their career has led some to believe that they're on the verge of calling it a day, and posts like the below don't help:
