Two years on from her last single, soulful pop singer Clodagh has today returned with 'All You Do Is', produced by Cian Sweeney (1000 Beasts).

Clodagh will be working with fellow Corkonian Cian, on a series of releases planned across the next 12 months.

"This feels like the start of a new chapter and a new era for me," she says. "Over lockdown I was getting frustrated by stupid things like not being able to leave the house and you can hear that all in the track."

Clodagh says that listening to the likes of Lianne La Havas, H.E.R. and SZA also helped to develop her sound. "It was a much cheesier song but I switched it up after listening to some of those artists," she says.

Born Clodagh O’Sullivan in Rhode Island in the States, Clodagh moved back to Ireland with her father when she was very young. A big fan of Lianne La Havas, Tom Odell and Jessie Ware, Clodagh's love for layered harmonies has already seen her compared to the likes of Lisa Hannigan and Wyvern Lingo.

Her 2020 single ‘You Got Me’ received over 1200 spins on Irish radio, gaining over a million impacts for the song. The single was remixed by The Control Freakz, leading to over 20,000 Spotify streams. She has over 1,700 monthly listeners on Spotify.

"I've been waiting for so long to release this song and get the ball rolling, so I can't wait to be able to jump at opportunities to perform it for people whenever I can," Clodagh says. Cork-based fans will get a chance to hear her perform live sooner rather than later as she plays a free single release show at Gaia in Cork on Friday April 1.

'All You Do Is' will be independently released today, Friday March 25 on all usual platforms.
