It's a busy day for Irish releases as two independent acts have both put very good singles out into the world.

Sisterix, the pop-rock duo consisting of Dublin sisters Siomha and Ornait Hennessy, release their second single 'Asking for Trouble'.

It follows on from their debut 'Another Reason to Hate You' and the video was filmed entirely at home while under lockdown.

"We opened a bottle of wine one night, and filmed until 5am - delirious and exhausted, switching between laughing and fighting ... sorry neighbours!”, they said. "The next day we woke up to an apartment strewn with costumes, furniture all over the place, film lights propped up with ironing boards, and a giant green screen sellotaped to the wall."

Dublin-based indie/emo band The Winter Passing also release their new single today.

The Tipperary natives emerged from Dublin's punk/hardcore scene and cite bands like Sonic Youth and No Doubt as influences.

They will release their second album 'New Ways of Living' in July, but before that you can hear new single 'Resist' below:
