The first bands have been announced for music's biggest showcase festival SXSW, which takes place in Austin, Texas from March 18th - 22nd.
There's usually an Irish contigent brought over to the festival, thanks to the Music from Ireland organisation - but so far, the only Irish acts on the bill are Limerick's We Should Be Dead (who relocate to the States soon) and Belfast's The Beat Poets and Cashier No. 9.
