We're a country steeped in musical history, so it should come as no surprise that we've topped this list of solving song intros.
You've heard of Wordle - and it seems like a lot of Ireland already knows about Heardle. The global music-guessing phenomenon has crowned Ireland, and our capital Dublin, as the leaders of the growing app.
In case you're unaware of Heardle (check it out here), the app has a similar premise to word-guessing app Wordle, except it's all to do with music intros.
Users are given the first second of a popular song and you then have six attempts at guessing which song it is. Should you need help, more of the intro will be revealed - but your score will be lower.
The fun app has exploded in popularity since its launch in March, gathering 1.75 million daily views within its first three weeks.
And so, we Heardle that Ireland, and in particular Dublin, have come out on top of the leaderboards across the world. Irish users have an average of 1.73 skips, with the same being said for Dublin players.
Rounding out the top five countries in the world are France, Belgium, Venezuela and our neighbours over in the UK. Check out the handy infographic below for the top 20 in the world.
With a heavy US presence eager to be the best, Dublin players have still managed to beat off other music lovers to clinch the title as the number one city in the world. We've narrowly beaten Nashville by 0.01 seconds, followed by Leeds, Birmingham and Paris in the top five.
WordTips conducted the study, which only considered cities with more than 100,000 population. In the same terms, only the top 1,000 cities in the US were considered.
With music lovers attempting the app in their droves, there's already been one song that's come out on top as the most easily recognisable. Nirvana’s 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' is the easiest Heardle song so far, with users nailing it in an average of 1.13 guesses.
Now, dear reader, is the time to go and attempt Heardle for yourself. Just please don't mess up our rating, okay?
