Fewer than twelve months since Carlos Dengler left the band, Interpol are now looking for another bassist with news emerging today that Dengler's replacement Dave Pajo has also walked awat from the New York rockers. "I am truly grateful for the experience and look forward to enjoying Interpol in the future, as a fan and friend." Pajo, who previously played with Slint, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and Zwan, maintained there was no acrimony in the split with the band announcing on their official website that "we're all friends" and continuing to say that "Dave has decided to step out of the spotlight for a while." Interpol's third bassist of the year will be Brad Truax, who had played with Home, Gang Gang Dance and Animal Collective. It remains to be seen who will fill the bass slot on a more permanent basis though, with reports suggesting that Truax will be nothing more than a touring bassist.
