Iggy Pop is to feature on the new solo album from former Be Your Own Pet frontlady Jemima Pearl.
Just under a year ago the Nashville garage rockers disbanded, leaving Pearl free to work on her solo album. Entitled 'Break it Up', the thirteen track album features a 'duet' with Iggy called 'I Hate People'. After a quick listen it seems the term 'duet' has been used quite loosely, as Iggy merely sings along on the chorus. Still, just having his name associated is sure to give Pearl a boost.
Other names associated with the album include Sonic Youth main man Thurston Moore and TV On The Radio's David Sitek, who also make guest appearances. Meanwhile Pearl is clearly still on good terms with former bandmate John Eatherly as he also appears on the album.
'Break It Up' is due for release on October 6th via Universal Music.
