2018 was a great year for music, but unfortunately quite a number became some of the most overplayed songs.

There were quite a number of songs that started off as bangers... and slowly, play by play, fell into the "overplayed" category. Here are the ones that we loved at first, but couldn't bare far too many times later.

And let us be clear - we don't hate these songs by any means; it's just every time we switched on the radio, or turned on the TV - WHAM! - they seemed to be in our ears.

George Ezra - 'Shotgun'

We love George, but my God, it was everywhere. The Gaeltacht even made an Irish version - all together now, "Léim isteach sa ngluaistean..."

Loud Luxury Feat. Brando - 'Body'

This video was made back in 2017 - just took a while to reach our shores.

Sigrid - 'Sucker Punch'

The breakout star of 2018 dropped this tune in October, and it's still doing its rounds on the radio.

Chasing Abbey - 'Talk To Me'

Great song, great lads, but it reminds us of broadband problems.

Cardi B - 'I Like It'

Another one to fall victim to an advert. Can we get a hot chicken fillet roll there please, Cardi?

Dynoro & Gigi D'Agostino - 'In My Mind'

Let's be honest, this song was in our minds for most of the second half of 2018.

Dean Lewis - 'Be Alright'

A slow one, that even more slowly turned into a headache.

Marshmello Feat. Bastille - 'Happier'

We would be happier not listening to this every time we turned on the radio.

Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa - 'One Kiss'

A summer banger, but it quickly became of one 2018's most overplayed songs. Dua Lipa killed it at Electric Picnic though, and drew in the biggest crowd over the whole weekend.

'Baby Shark'

Here's the one hour version. Go on, you know you want to press it... PRESS IT.
