SertOne - Meeting House Square - 9.20pm
SertOne has been DJing for about half of his life, which isn't a bad figure when you consider that the Portadown native is still firmly entrenched in his early twenties. Even though he now resides in Liverpool, SertOne still comes back to the motherland for many a show, including last May's entertainment.ie curated Camden Crawl in the Mercantile. Oh, and Boy George is a fan.
Bouts - The Workman's Club - 9.40pm
Bouts are one of Dublin's most intriguing new rock outfits. In the two or so years that the band have been in existence, the fourpiece have attracted significant airplay at home and abroad (BBC Radio's Lauren Laverne is a fan) and, in the weeks after HWCH, are departing to the U.S. for a series of shows. Check 'em out.
Twin Terrace - The Mercantile - 9.40pm
Gavin Redmond and Twin Terrace are one of those bands that make an instant impression when you hear them. There's no slow-burn here, songs like 'You Keep Coming Back' and 'Our Friend The Atom' immediately permeate your brain and, after a few listens, will permanently reside there. Potentially one of the highlights of the entire festival.
Si Schroeder - Meeting House Square - 10.40pm
Si Schroeder is a name that will be familiar to a those of you who are regulars at Irish gigs. He's released one album so far, 2006's excellent Coping Mechanisms, and an EP way back in 1998 as part of Schroeder's Cat. Having been off our radars for some time now, it's great to see (and hear) Si Schroeder back.
Futures Apart - The Workman's Club - 11pm
Futures Apart will bring one hell of a live show to the Workman's Club tonight. Their material up to this point - including the free to download 'Landslide' - has indicated that the Wexford group will be around for some time to come and we're looking forward to seeing what's next.
