HWCH organiser Angela Dorgan was quoted as saying: "It's truly remarkable that here we are at then years of the festival and Irish music continues to surprise us. The judges around the globe were incredibly impressed with the quality of the acts, as well as the diversity. Both are really well reflected in the line-up. As nearly half of the bands have never played the festival before we are also continuing our task of unearthing brand new acts for everyone to discover."

As well as the music, the usual industry events and talks will return. More details on them when we have 'em.

The venues for this year's festival will be The Button Factory, The Mercantile, The Grand Social, Twisted Pepper, Meeting House Square and The Workman's Club.
