The Dublin Gospel Choir are set to perform a special Good Friday show with special guest performances from Cathy Davey, Neil Hannon and Paddy Casey at the Olympia Theatre on April 22nd.

The country's most prominent gospel choir are sure to perform many of their live favourites, including renditions of gospel and popular songs alike. They'll also be providing a unique backing to the songs of three of Ireland's top songwriters, including new material from Paddy Casey.

According to the press release the bar at the Olympia will be open, though I'm pretty sure that's one of only two days a year when that's actually against the law. Either way, tickets priced €30 are on sale now and doors will open at 7.15pm on the night, with the show starting promptly at 8pm.

The Dublin Gospel Choir will also play an Easter Sunday show at Cork's Cyprus Avenue on April 24th and tickets for that one are €17.45.
