Pop punk trio Green Day have announced details of their forthcoming eight studio album via a post on their website, Greenday.com
The follow up to 2004's American Idiot will be called 21st Century Breakdown and is set to be released this coming May. The album is split into three "acts" - 'Heroes And Cons', 'Charlatans And Saints' and 'Horseshoes And Handgrenades' and can be pre-ordered now from the band's website.
