Since HMV closed in recent weeks, Dublin's Henry Street has been without a record shop for the first time in years.

However, that's all set to change next week, when Golden Discs will open on 18 Henry Street (where HMV used to be) this weekend.

Twenty members of staff will be hired for the new store, which will have a large vinyl department - and what's more, further store openings are to be announced later this month.

To celebrate their new Henry Street store, The Riptide Movement - who release their new album 'Ghosts' today - will play a special instore gig next Thursday, October 27th to mark the occasion.

They'll play at 6pm and entry is free.
