We've just received word that Italian electronic music pioneer Giorgio Moroder has been forced to pull out of Electric Picnic.
The 73-year-old has cancelled his appearance on advice from his doctors. He had been scheduled to headline the Electric Arena on Friday night alongside DJ Chris Cox. It remains unclear whether a replacement will be drafted in, or whether Cox will perform a solo set.
We wish Giorgio a speedy recovery.
