Two fresh gig announcements for you this fine Monday morning. UK duo Royal Blood have just announced details of an exclusive headline performance at The Workman’s Club, Dublin on Sunday 30th March, while Daughtry (who will be a familiar name to any fans of American Idol) will play a headline show in Dublin's Academy - also on the 30th of March.
Multi-platinum recording artist Daughtry has scored four No. 1 hits, garnered four Grammy nominations, won four American Music Awards, sold over 7.5 million albums, 17 million singles worldwide and sold out concerts around the world. Daughtry's 4th album Baptized is out now. In addition to recording and touring the globe. Daughtry is also dedicated to using its position to raise awareness about a number of charitable causes including an ambassadorship with DC Comics We Can Be Heroes campaign. Tickets to the show will set you back €22.90.
Last year, Brighton duo Royal Blood made their first public musical statement - a 3 minute slice of thrilling, primal rock & roll called 'Figure It Out' that appeared unannounced on the band's Soundcloud page but was soon picking up serious plaudits.
Now Royal Blood are pleased to announce details of their debut single. Available on 7" and download, the self-produced 'Out Of The Black' is out now. It’s a single that wrings the maximum amount of noise, aggression and pure youthful exuberance out of the most minimal of ingredients, featuring nothing more than Mike Kerr's vocals and bass and Ben Thatcher's drums. Purveyors of a fine live show too, you can see them for yourself on the 30th March for just €11.75.
