Bob Geldof has announced details of his first Irish headline show in seven years. The former Boomtown Rat will play Dublin's Vicar Street on Saturday 19th May. Geldof's new album How To Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell was his first since 2001 Sex, Age & Death and his fifth as a solo artist.

Tickets are on sale from Monday 13th February and will cost you €33.

As well as Sir Bob, Gary Numan has also confirmed he'll be playing a date in Dublin's Button Factory on May 26th. A ticket to see the former Cars man will set you back €25.

But wait, there's more! The Coronas, Olly Murs and an extra helping of Dara O'Briain have been confirmed for Cork's Live at the Marquee series of gigs next summer, joining the already announced Justice, Imelda May, The Specials, The Coronas, Christy Moore and Declan Sinnott and Jedward.
