Get ready for the pop collaboration you've all been waiting for! Or not, maybe. R. Kelly and Justin Bieber have recorded a song together - and it'll see the light of day next week.

R. Kelly confirmed, via Vibe, that Biebs contacted him a few months ago about the possibility of working together. Speaking to Vibe, R. Kelly said: "[Justin] just called me to do a song and it's hot. He wanted to go and do some R&B stuff, so we got together and did that."

A tweet from Bieber confirmed the partnership and that the song will be released sometime next week. This also sheds a bit more light on the snippets of R. Kelly mentions that have been appearing on Justin Bieber's social media pages recently, as the Canadian pop tyke has been throwing all sorts of R. Kelly references around.

R. Kelly is a busy man lately,so busy in fact that he has been sending impersonators of himself to his advertised live dates, and has also had to push back the release of his new album Black Panties due to additional post-production being needed.  Incidentally, has there been a worse album title than Black Panties in recent memory? Paul McCartney's Kisses on the Bottom is the only one that comes close in our opinion..

Anyway, Biebs is the latest star to lend his voice to an R. Kelly song, with Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and 2 Chainz all having recently done the same.

We'll bring you the Biebs/Kellz collaboration as soon as we get it next week.
