Gemma Hayes is to play Whelan's next month.

The Tipperary singer-songwriter has been away for the past few years recording her third album 'The Hollow of Morning', and making friends with the likes of Kevin Shields and Adam Duritz - but she's back and on the warpath to reclaim her 'Irish Pop Queen' crown from Cathy Davey.

She'll play Whelan's on May 25th. Ticket info as we have it.

Hayes is also playing her first big Dublin gig in a long time tomorrow at Tripod - tickets for that gig are €22.50 - €27.50 and still on sale now.
