The Dublin-based band have this week released their debut album At War with the Eskimos – and we have a free stream of it for your listening pleasure.

Recorded by the same mind who brought you Adrian Crowley’s Choice Prize nominated I See Three Birds Flying, At War with the Eskimos blends a rich patchwork of instrumentation, with pedal steel guitar, cello, violin, trumpet, trombone, harmonica (and more!) all evident in the mix.

Band frontman Dara Ryder says of the album: "I’m really proud of it. When we went into the studio all we had were songs sung with acoustic guitar so we pieced together this big sound bit by bit in the studio. It was a really satisfying process, watching all of these great musicians take it in different directions and bringing their personality to the songs."

Dying Embers will launch the album in Dublin’s The Sugar Club on March 22nd next with a live show. Jethro Pickett will play in support and tickets are available for €10 here.

Meanwhile, give the album a spin below.
