The new Franz Ferdinand album is not likely to be released this year, according to frontman Alex Kapranos.
It's been three years since the Scottish art-rockers' last album 'You Can Have It So Much Better' - but it looks like fans will be waiting until 2009 to hear its follow-up.
Kapranos said: "We've still got quite a bit of mixing to do but because we don't really know how long it's going to take, we're going to put the release date back a bit. I can't see it coming out this year. I think it's more likely to come out in January or something like that."
