AC/DC are a band who have certainly been through the wars in recent years.

First, they lost guitarist Malcolm Young because of his dementia diagnosis; then drummer Phil Rudd was arrested for drug possession and threatening to kill someone; then singer Brian Johnson was advised to stop touring, leading Axl Rose to be drafted in as their temporary frontman. Finally, it looks like it's all become too much for long-time bassist Cliff Williams, who has hinted that he'll retire after their current tour ends.

Now, Rudd has spoken out about the possibility of re-joining the band - but says he'd only do so if Axl Rose left.

“If Angus wanted me to play then that’s up to him - but I don’t really want to play with Axl Rose. I don’t really rate him," he said in an interview with the Bay of Plenty Times, also revealing that he'd suffered a heart attack recently.

"Yeah, I had a f**king heart attack, but I am good now, got a stent inside," he said. "I was just at home walking around at home, and I started feel, well just funny. You know how you can feel funny? I had a strange pain in my chest. So my housekeeper took me to the hospital, when they hooked me up and did all these tests turned out I had a big heart attack...my artery was all blocked up, and they said I had to stay in and have an operation.

"I sneaked out to the shop to get some cigarettes, then I realised I had no car, so I walked home to get the Ferrari, and drove back to the hospital."

Since Rudd's departure from AC/DC, his drum stool has been filled by Chris Slade.
