The past week has seen a flurry of activity on the festival line-up front - with the first acts for Primavera Sound and Benicassim announced, and strong rumours of Glastonbury headliners for the 2009 event.

Acts confirmed for the Barcelona-based Primavera Sound (May 28th - 30th, €90 for early bird tickets) are:

Benicassim (July 16th - 19th, €140 for early bird tickets), also in Spain, will have the following acts play its stages:

Franz Ferdinand
Kings of Leon
Paul Weller

Meanwhile, slightly closer to home, Glastonbury (£180 per ticket) is rumoured to have Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Blur as its headliners - although nothing has been confirmed yet.
