Guinness today announced the initial list of names of the acts who'll be appearing in bars across the length and breadth of the country for this year's Arthur's Day, September 27th.

Example, Tinie Tempah, Ellie Goulding, Mika, Professor Green, Fatboy Slim, Texas and Amy McDonald will be among the many acts, both Irish and international, who will tip their hat to the black stuff this year.

2012 will be the largest scale Arthur's Day yet, with live events set to take place in hundreds of local pubs across the country. No tickets will be on sale this year, just head along to any of the 500 pubs hosting festivities across all 32 counties and you never know who you might see.

Tinie Tempah, who played the 2010 Arthur's Day, said this of his inclusion in this year's line-up: "I'm honoured to be invited back to Ireland for 2012 and couldn't be more excited about playing a pub gig for a small, surprised crowd!"

"Arthur's Day has always been about people coming together for unique and remarkable music experiences in pubs and venues around the country", explained Stuart Kinch, Guinness Marketing Manager of Diageo Western Europe. "This year, we wanted to do more and give everyone the chance to experience the magic of Arthur's Day by making all events free and giving the public a chance to vote and help bring a headline artist to their local."
