Lit By a Slanting Sun - 8th September - The Pearse Centre
The first Young Hearts Run Free event of the autumn will take its cue from Padraic Pearse's 'The Wayfarer', a poem written on the eve of his execution in Kilmainham Gaol. In the spirit of respecting history and literature, YHRF will bring the spirit of the piece back to life, along with music from Porcelain Raft.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis - 19th September - The Academy
XXL magazine cover stars Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will take their Heist World Tour to The Academy on September 19th. The duo made their Irish debuts last October at The Twisted Pepper and are now moving just a few doors down on Abbey Street for the larger confines of The Academy. Having packed out recent US shows (garnering over 20 million YouTube views in the process) it's time for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis to set their sights on the lucrative European market.
