Ed Sheeran and The Darkness aren't necessarily obvious musical bedfellows, but there's clearly a kinship between both acts.
Sheeran brought the rock band on tour with him a few years back, and it looks like a firm friendship was formed as the 'Galway Girl' singer made a surprise appearance with Justin Hawkins and co. at their London gig over the weekend.
Sheeran was the surprise support act at London's Roundhouse and performed a six-set song for the shocked crowd. He then re-joined The Darkness during the main set to perform 'Love is Only a Feeling', wearing a Darkness t-shirt and rocking out on electric guitar.
