The Drop Haiti's Debt gig that was to take place at Vicar St this Thursday and feature performances from Cathy Davey, Julie Feeney, The Chapters, Villagers and The Chakras has been cancelled, due to unavoidable circumstances.
Despite the fact that the gig won't be going ahead, it did manage to raise awareness for Trocaire's Drop Haiti's Debt campaign. The concert's organisers are delighted that "at the G7 summit in Canada last weekend, world leaders indicated they are prepared to drop Haiti's debt in its entirety in the imminent future.
