Today FM have announced the The Small Hours, the radio show presented by Donal Dineen in various guises since March 1997, is to go off the air. Dineen has been a champion of Irish music through his current show, and all the way back to when he was the presenter of No Disco in the nineties. During this time, Dineen has become a significant voice in the realm of Irish music and has a reputation for seeking out and encouraging experimental music in all genres. The last broadcast of The Small Hours will be on Thursday 1st December.

Dineen had this to say: "very grateful for all the time I've had doing the job I always dreamed of and I've enjoyed each minute of every programme over the past fifteen years. The response from the audience and the many music-makers who joined me in the studio has been a big reward in itself and I want to thank everybody for their valuable support and contributions.
