Pete Doherty has been released from jail after serving just 29 days of his 14 week sentence.

The Babyshambles singer was freed from Wormwood Scrubs prison this morning at 7.10am, and displayed a medical certificate that indicated he had been drug-free for the duration of his stay.

Doherty told NME.com that he was looking forward to hooking up with his Babyshambles bandmates and working on their third album, but would probably not be playing a 'freedom gig' tonight in London.
