While it hasn't yet been officially announced by either Oxegen organisers or promoters MCD, The Irish Times have reported that Pete Doherty is to join this year's colossal line up alongside Blur, Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party, Katy Perry and The Script.

Doherty's been all over the news this week, what with his horrifically uncomfortable interview on Friday night's Late, Late Show, following on from an appearance at Trinity's Philosophical Society. On top of that Doherty has been telling the press that he has been forced to turn down millions of pounds to reform The Libertines because Carl Barat refuses. He is also selling of copies of one of his blood paintings in order to pay off an outstanding taxi bill. Seems like Doherty is after lots of exposure in the run up to the release of his forthcoming solo album "Grace/Wastelands," not that a tabloid king like him should really need to.

Grace/Wastelands is due for release on March 16th
