Loads of exciting Irish festival announcements are coming our way lately as full capacity shows return to normal.

But one in particular is jumping ahead of the pack. Defected comes to Naas Racecourse on April 17, just two months from now. Due to the early date, Defected will be the first full capacity festival in Ireland in over 2 years and tickets go on sale today for the bank holiday weekend show.

The exciting line-up features artists such as UK duo Gorgon City, known for their distinctly recognisable, bass driven house music. They have amassed over 1.5 billion streams worldwide with songs like 'Ready For Your Love' and 'Real Life'.

Joining them are the likes of Brazilian DJ Vintage Culture, Sam Divine and the mysteriously masked German DJ Claptone. Grammy award nominated Todd Terry, Italian DJ Roberto Surace and Irish acts Al Gibbs and Bissett complete the line-up.

Defected Festival

Here's a sneak peak at what you can expect from enigmatic German DJ Claptone. Known for wearing a medieval plague doctor mask, nobody knows who the artist's real identity is.

What we do know is that he puts on one hell of a show by the looks of it.

The festival is part of Simon Dunmore’s Defected label, one of the great success story of UK dance music. For 20 years, it’s been dedicated to the finest in house, from its label and numerous associated imprints, to its events and festivals.

Tickets are on sale here from just €43.32 plus booking fee. Don't miss out.
