Ahead of the release of their new album 'The King is Dead' in the new year, The Decemberists have announced a Dublin date for 2011.
The Portland folk rock group fronted by Colin Meloy will play Vicar St on Friday March 4th. Tickets priced €23 go on sale this Friday November 19th at 9am.
'The King is Dead' follows the Decemberists brilliant rock opera 'The Hazards Of Love' and includes new single 'Down By The Water' featuring Gillian Welch, which you can download for free from www.myspace.com/thedecemberists
