Bringing with them homemade BBQ food, Dave Grohl and family took to various fire stations to show their appreciation of all of the hard work they've done recently.

Hundreds of peoples homes have been destroyed in blazes that took over the state of California in the past few days. Celebrities whose houses burned down include Gerard Butler and Miley Cyrus. Lady Gaga also visited a Red Cross shelter over the weekend to talk to some of the Woolsey Fire victims.

Grohl provided servicemen and women, as well as their families with free dinners from his new Backbeat Barbecue project. Fire Station 68 in Calabasas, California shared a photo with Grohl on their Instagram page.

They said "It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters. He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq. Thanks Dave! It was excellent!"

The wife of a fire fighter also put on her Instagram page, "How cool is this? Dave Grohl and his family brought home cooked BBQ to babes station last night."

Grohl then took to his Backbeat Barbecue Instagram page to share his joy at feeding the services who've dedicated their lives to saving people. He said "To all the @losangelesfiredepartment and @lacountyfd heroes we met last night... thank you. It was an honor to cook for you. - Dave."
