The Culwick Choral Society will present two Christmas charity performances of Handel's Messiah on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd December, in aid of ARC Cancer Support Centre.
MESSIAH is Handel's most famous musical work and is an important part of Christmas festivities worldwide. The Culwick Choral Society will be joined by top soloists Róisin O'Grady (soprano), Alison Browner (alto), Eamonn Mulhall (tenor), and Roland Davitt (bass), an orchestra led by Alan Smale, with conductor Bernie Sherlock.
The Culwick Choral Society chose ARC Cancer Support Centre as the event beneficiary because of their vital work in providing aftercare research counselling (incorporating rehabilitation and complementary care), and professional support to men and women affected by cancer and those who care for them. ARC's services and facilities are provided free of charge and are open to men and women living with cancer no matter where they live or where they are being treated.
Both performances will take place in the magnificent medieval St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin 8, commencing at 8pm each night. €30 are priced each (unreserved seating).
