Coldplay and CSS have both made songs from their forthcoming albums available as free downloads.
Over 600,000 people have availed of Coldplay's offer of 'Violet Hill' since yesterday, which can be downloaded from www.coldplay.com.
Brazilian band CSS, meanwhile, are giving away 'Rat Is Dead (Rage)' on www.csshurts.com, which is taken from their new album 'Donkey', out next month.
