Xtina accepted the Music Icon award, the first of its kind, at Tuesday night's ceremony. She then took the stage to perform a medley of her biggest hits, in a stunning show.

In a six-minute-long set, the singer packed in seven of her most iconic songs of her career.

First up was a stripped-down version of her breakout single 'Genie in a Bottle' before breaking into her smash hit 'Dirrty', wearing her iconic yellow chaps from the music video. The 40-year-old transitioned into her belting opening note of her 2006 single "Ain't No Other Man".

She then segued into an emotional performance of  'Fighter' and the Lil' Kim-assisted 'Can't Hold Us Down'.

"We've been singing this message a long time," Aguilera said between songs. "And this message still holds so true today. This is not just for the women or the fighters, but for everybody who has a voice to be heard."

Aguilera continued with a performance of her new Spanish-language single 'Somos Nada', the second new song she released this year ahead of her upcoming album. She then closed the show with a soaring rendition of 'Beautiful'.

Aguilera previously performed this year at the Grammys in November. She is currently working on her second Spanish-language album, as she gets closer to her Ecuadorian heritage.
