The ten albums shortlisted for this year's Choice Music Prize have been revealed.

The shortlist was unveiled this afternoon on Tracy Clifford's 2FM show, and the winner will be announced at a special live show at Dublin's Vicar Street on Thursday, March 9th.

A panel of judges will decide who amongst the likes of Fontaines DC, Dermot Kennedy and CMAT will emerge victorious to claim the title of 'Irish Album of the Year 2022', a €10,000 cheque from IMRO and a swanky glass trophy.

Last year's winner was For Those I Love, but here are the ten albums on this year's shortlist:

The acts playing the live show have yet TBC.

This year's Choice Music Prize will see the addition of several new awards alongside the 'Irish Album' and 'Irish Song' titles - most notably 'Irish Artist of the Year', 'Irish Breakthrough Artist' and 'Classic Irish Album', with shortlists to be unveiled throughout the week.

The 'Song of the Year' shortlist will be announced this Friday, January 13th.
