Cee-Lo Green has reunited with his former band Goodie Mob to record a new rap album.

The Gnarls Barkely singer was a member of the Atlanta hip hop group throughout the 1990s before quitting in 2000 to focus on his solo career.

Green told the Daily Star, "I really want to go back to my roots and do a little rapping. It's been a fabulous experience reuniting with Goodie Mob after 15 years and seeing how we all turned out.

"Plus it's interesting to see how I've developed as a rapper after so long out of practice."

Cee-Lo is set to perform a duet with Gwyneth Paltrow at Sunday nights Grammy Award ceremony for a version of his hit song 'F**k You', which will reportedly be backed an array of Jim Henson puppets taken from the live show 'Stuffed and Unstrung'. Forget Lady Gaga, that I've got to see.
