Caribou has won the Polaris Music Prize (the Canadian equivalent of the Mercury Music Prize) in Toronto last night, for his album 'Andorra'.

The one-man electronica act beat off stiff competition from the likes of Holy Fuck, Stars, Kathleen Edwards and Black Mountain to take the prize, now in its third year. He wins $20,000 for their efforts.

Previous winners were Final Fantasy's 'He Poos Clouds' and Patrick Watson's 'Close To Paradise'.
