Larne's Captain Kennedy are the newest name to be added to the Sea Sessions line-up taking place in Bundoran, Co Donegal this coming weekend. The three day surf and music festival runs from 24th to 26th June and other acts confirmed to take to the stage include Villagers and Ziggy Marley. Captain Kennedy released their debut album in late 2010 and have toured primarily in the north of Ireland. The 6-piece rock band will no doubt cherish this opportunity to perform on the same stage as some of music's biggest names.

Elsewhere, final measures are being taken for to prepare for the mass of bodies that will converge on the otherwise sleepy coastal town of Bundoran. Accommodation is practically sold out for miles around, but we still hear rumours of rooms being available in neighbouring towns like Ballyshannon. There is also good news on the weather front, with temperatures in the low to mid 20's being forecast for next weekend. Bring the suncream!
