For many of us, the music of Usher was an absolute staple of our teenagehoods.

Whether it was losing it on the dance floor with our girl or guy friends, or sharing that first awkward shift with a randomer, songs by Usher have provided many fond, disco/club-set memories.

While things really kicked off for the artist with his 2004 album 'Confessions', he first made a name for himself in the late 1990s. (Anyone else remember 'U Remind Me' from 2001?)

So really we have almost three decades of banging tunes to be grateful to Usher for.

We can all agree that it started with 'Yeah!', which is actually so timeless and energetic, with such a fantastic beat, that it'd still be a hit if released today.

Also from the 'Confessions' album - which turns 15 today, FYI - was another up-tempo classic, 'Caught Up.'

On the same album, Usher took things a bit slower and more sensual with 'Burn'.

There was also the love tune 'My Boo', with the fabulous Alicia Keys.

From the same album again came 'Confessions Part II.'

Then two albums later, we got two more club anthem number one hit singles. We refer, of course, to 'Love in This Club'...

... and the 'just try resisting dancing your socks off' classic 'OMG'.

Since then, there has been 'DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love', 'Scream', and 'I Don't Mind' among others.

Basically, we could go on about the various awards and accolades - bestseller hits, Grammys, Billboard Music awards - Usher has earned. But we think his music speaks for itself. Here's to years and years more of the R&B legend.
