Best known for his work with the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson, legendary producer, composer and all round musical mastermind Van Dyke Parks is set to pay a visit to Dublin for an intimate live show at The Button Factory on May 15th.
Having also worked with such iconic artists as Randy Newman, Ry Cooder, The Byrds, Loudon Wainwright III and Ringo Starr, more recently Van Dyke Parks arranged Joanna Newsom's acclaimed 2006 album 'YS'.
The Dublin show will be the first on a short European tour to launch a unique series of 7” vinyl singles, each illustrated by some of the most important modern artists of the time. Support on the night comes from Clare & The Reasons, a Brooklyn based outfit who play what is described as "chamber music with edge". Intriguing. Tickets are priced €27 for unreserved seating and go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday April 13th from tickets.ie and usual ticketmaster outlets.
