If you've ever seen him live, you'll be aware of just how much stamina he has - but it seems that even The Boss needs a day off every now and then.

Bruce Springsteen has been forced to cancel two dates on his current US tour after being 'taken ill'.

The 73-year-old was due to play Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia last night and tomorrow, but both have now been cancelled.

A statement read: "Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed.

"We are working on rescheduling the dates so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows."

Springsteen is currently on his first major tour in 6 years but was also forced to cancel shows in March due to illness.

Details on his condition are not yet known, although the tour is set to resume in Foxborough, Massachusetts next Thursday.

Rumours have abounded in recent weeks that he is set to play three Irish gigs in Cork and Kilkenny in 2024, although this has not been confimed.

Get well soon!
