This year's Brit Award nominations were announced tonight at a special launch party hosted by Fearne Cotton and broadcast live on ITV2. Coldplay and Duffy lead with four nominations a piece. The BPI also announced that Coldplay and Take That are to join Kings of Leon, Duffy, The Pet Shop Boys and Girls Aloud among the acts to play at the 2009 award ceremony.
The Brit Awards 2009 will take place at London's Earl's Court on February 18th and will be presented by Kylie Minogue, James Corden and Matthew Horne.
