The whole 'drive-in' concert experiment failed to get off the ground in Ireland last year when a series of planned gigs featuring the likes of Gavin James and Aslan were cancelled.

Now, however, a promotion company is teaming up with Retro Drive-In Movies (which hosts drive-in film events around the country) and is planning something a bit different: a drive-in livestreamed concert.

Bon Jovi's first-ever livestreamed concert will be broadcast at three different venues in Ireland next month: Cork Racecourse, Leopardstown Racecourse and Slane Castle.

The full-length, one-night-only concert will take place at various outdoor venues around the world on May 22nd and each Irish venue will be limited to 250 tickets. Each ticket (€55 plus booking fee) admits one car which can hold up to 5 people.

A concert from the confines of your own car might be a different experience, but it may be the closest we get to a large-scale music event this summer.

Tickets are on sale tomorrow (April 28th) at 5pm via this link.
